Dear Father god
in heaven
Dear Father God
in Heaven,
I am in so much
pain,
I don't know how
much more that I
can take.
Yet You say Your
yoke is easy,
That Your
burdens are so
light,
And You know and
guide me through
each move I
make.
I try to do Your
bidding,
And reach out to
those in need;
If I was well
there'd be much
more that I
could do.
I want to be
Your servant,
To shine Your
light upon the
world,
But how can I
when I feel so
sad and blue?
I cry to You
each morning,
Reach for You at
night,
Yet I feel so
lost and totally
alone.
I'm tired, sad
and weary,
Encumbered with
guilt and shame,
Too afraid to
step into the
dark unknown
I need to feel
Your presence
Deep within me
every day,
To fill my heart
with courage,
peace and love.
Please take my
hand in Yours
And keep me safe
from harm,
'Till You take
us home to You
in Heaven above.
When You return
as promised
For Your eagerly
waiting Bride,
To take me to my
promised mansion
in the sky,
I pray You'll
find me worthy
To be taken to
Your side,
So forever I can
reign with You
on high.
May I join the
choir of angels
Singing
Hallelujah's to
my King,
And finally
behold You on
Your Holy
Throne.
Then for all
eternity
On bended knee
I'll bow,
Singing songs of
praise and
worship to You
alone.
