This poem was given to me at a time when I was feeling desperate and really felt as thought no one even knew I existed, let alone cared what happened to me.  I hope that it brings you the comfort and solace that it brought me at the time.  All you have to do is acknowledge that you are a sinner, truly repent of that sin, and reach out and ask God to forgive you and to take control of your life.  God bless you, and peace be with you.

DO YOU NEED SOMEONE?

Do you need someone to love you?
Do you need someone to care?
Do you need someone to run to
In your times of dark despair

Do you need someone to hold you,
As you cry yourself to sleep?
Do you need someone to heal you
From your wounds so raw and deep?

Do you need to know you're accepted,
Despite what you are and where you've been?
Do you need someone to tell you
You are precious; not unclean.

Well, there is someone who loves you,
And there is someone who cares.
There is someone to run to –
Someone who all your sorrow bears.

There is someone to hold you;
He will wipe away your tears.
There is someone to heal your wounds,
And who'll cast out all your fears.

God is reaching out to you,
To be your shelter from the storm.
He longs to hold you in His arms
And keep you safe and warm.

He loves you; He accepts you
He wants to be your friend.
So trust Him;  He is faithful,
And on Him you can depend.
