The Lord placed these words of encouragement on my heart one day when I was going through a particularly rough time and really needed reassurance that He was there for me.

FEAR NOT, MY CHILD

Fear not, my child, I'm always near –
Just reach out to me, for I am here.
I am your fortress, safe and strong,
And in my arms is where you belong.

I am your Saviour, the Prince of Peace –
From guilt and shame I bring release.
I'll be your guide each and every day,
If you will let me show you the way.

If you'll just give your life to me,
I'll pour out my Spirit and set you free.
Please open your heart – let me take control –
And I will touch you and make you whole.

When storms are raging all around,
My grace and mercy will abound;
They are a free gift from me to you,
For, you see, my love for you is true.

So please, my child, give me your heart –
I want it all, not just a part –
And then your new life can begin,
If you'll just yield and let me in.
