All too often we fail to give thanks to the Lord for everything He has done for us. We think that we have done things on our own, and forget that it is only through the strength and love of the Lord that we are able to do anything, and it is only by His grace that we are saved. So, please, give Him the thanks that are due His name, and let your songs of praise ring out today!

GIVE THANKS

Oh, give thanks with a grateful heart
To the King of all Creation;
Yes, lift your voices, sweet and strong
With hymns of celebration.

When Jesus died upon the Cross
He set you free from pain and strife,
And, because He rose up from the grave,
You have the promise of eternal life.

For Jesus Christ has set us free,
And we no longer need to fear,
Because He is always by your side
And His desire for you is clear.

He wants to fill you with His peace
And surround you with His love.
That is why He sent His Spirit
From His throne in Heaven above.

His Spirit dwells within you
To be your constant friend and guide,
And you can always trust Him,
For you are His precious Bride

He said that He'd return again,
Though we don't know when that will be,
But He said it would be some time soon,
And that then His face we'd see.

So lift your voices in psalms of praise,
And let your Alleluias ring,
Yes, let all the people on the earth
Sing praises to their King!
