Jesus is many things to us, all of which are mentioned somewhere throughout the Word of God. We often forget just how powerful He is and just what He is. The Lord gave me this poem at a time in my life when I was going through many trials as an encouragement to go on, knowing that Jesus is all I need.

HE IS...

He is the Lord my Provider,
Who provides all my needs, not my greeds,
And I know that I can always trust Him,
For I know all His people He feeds.

He is the Lord who heals me
Of all my sickness and my disease.
With just one touch of His loving hand
My body and soul from pain He frees.

He is the Lord my banner,
And love is His banner over me.
As I kneel before His holy throne,
His amazing love is all I see.

He is the Lord who sanctifies,
He sent is Son to die for me,
For He sees me through the blood of the Lamb,
Which cleansed me from sin and set me free.

He is the Lord our Peace,
And He dwells within my heart.
The peace He gives is hard to understand,
But I know it will never depart.

He is the Lord my Shepherd,
And He leads me in the way I should go.
He's always walking right beside me,
And the straight and narrow path to me He'll show.

He is the Lord our righteousness,
And He sees me as righteous in His sight,
And when I think of all He's done for me,
I feel so humble and contrite.

He is the Lord Who is always there,
And of that fact I now have no doubt,
And when I think of His great love for me,
My heart wants to sing and shout

You see, God is all these things to me,
He is my Lord, my God, my friend –
I know He is faithful, and He's true,
And I know His love will never end.
