OH, MY SOUL, REJOICE!

Oh, my soul, rejoice
And give praise unto your King,
For He has filled me with His love
And caused my heart to sing

I will lift my voice on high
And glorify His name,
For since He rescued me
My life has never been the same.

He showed me the depths of His love
When for me He laid down His life -
Now His Spirit dwells in me
And He has banished fear and strife.

His love is everlasting,
And He upholds me with His arm,
So I need no longer live in fear,
For He will keep me safe from harm.

I know His Word is true,
For my God can never lie,
So I lift my voice and worship Him,
For on Him I can rely.

One day soon He will return
To claim His waiting Bride,
And He will take me up to heaven
With Him forever to abide.
