Do you, like me, find it hard to find time to
spend with the Lord? Do you find that life's bends and curves keep you
from meeting with Him throughout every day as we should? Does there never
seem to be enough time in the day to do what you have to do and still spend the
time you should reaching out to Him in prayer, praise and worship? This
poem was born out of the fact that I find this to be the fact most of the time.
I hope that it will encourage you to reach out to the Lord and ask Him to help
you to find the time to do what we should be doing every moment of every day -
reaching out to Him and letting Him take control of our lives.

OH, LORD, I FIND IT SO HARD
Oh, Lord, I find it so hard
To spend the time with You I ought –
It seems no matter how much I try,
I can't control my every thought.

My spirit is completely willing, Lord,
But my flesh is so very weak,
So will You please assist me, Lord,
To consider the words I speak.

When my body's racked with pain,
It's so hard to give You praise,
Until I remember Your blessed sacrifice
And the wondrous love that it conveys.

When the daily trials that I endure
Keep me from spending time with You,
Would You tap me on the shoulder, Lord,
And remind me of what I should do.

For the sole desire of my heart
Is to spend every waking hour in praise,
And to do Your will is all I seek,
Both now and for all my days.
