Therefore you also must be ready; for the Son of
man  is coming at an hour you do not expect."

ONE DAY SOON

One day soon my Lord Jesus will return,
Though I don't know when that will be,
But I know He will, because before He left,
He said He'd come back for you and me.

For we do not really belong here –
We're only strangers passing through –
But His Holy Spirit will constantly guide us
'Til to our life on earth we say "Adieu!"

However, whilst we are eagerly waiting
For Jesus to come and claim His Bride,
His love for us we should be sharing,
So that others can join us by His side.

There are so many lost and lonely people
Who have never heard His Holy Word,
So, despite any and all opposition,
We must spread His message undeterred.

For the time is quickly drawing closer
To the day our Lord will call us home,
And finally, when that joyous day arrives,
No more on this world will we roam.

I constantly pray I will be found ready,
With His flame in my heart burning bright,
So that I can dwell in my mansion in Heaven,
Forevermore basking in His glorious light.
