No matter how many trials and tribulations I go through, the one thing that keeps me going is knowing that, if I will just get down on my knees in worship to my Lord and Saviour, He will fill me with His joy - joy that reaches down to the very depths of my soul to renew my strength and courage to go on.

THE JOY OF THE LORD

The joy of the Lord will be your strength,
Of that you can always be sure.
He'll fill your heart with love and peace
As you seek Him more and more.

He'll lead you beside still waters,
And restore your wounded heart,
If you'll only give your life to Him,
Because you have to play your part.

For He is unable to help you
If you don't call out to Him in prayer,
But if you do, you can be assured
That the Lord is always there.

He'll cleanse you with His precious blood
Which was shed for you and me,
For that was the reason that He died –
So that we could all be free.

For when He rose up from the grave
He set us free from death and sin.
Now we have no need to doubt or fear,
And our new lives we can begin.

So repent and ask Him to forgive –
Give your life to Him right now –
And He'll fill you with peace beyond compare
As upon your knees you bow.

As you wait upon the Lord each day,
Your strength He will renew.
With His Spirit He'll refresh your heart,
For His promises are true.

As you come into His presence,
And as you worship and adore,
You will rise up like the eagle,
And on wings of love you'll soar.
