WHEN I CONSIDER ALL YOU'VE DONE

When I awoke this morning
And beheld the rising sun,
I thought of You, my blessed Lord
And the great things that You've done.

And as I heard the waking birds
As they sang their joyful song,
I thought "That song's for You, my Lord –
They just praise You all day long".

I thought, as I saw some sparrows in flight,
"Even they are precious to You.
If You are able to provide their needs,
I know You will provide mine, too."

Then, as I looked into the pastures green,
And saw the lambs as they frolicked and played
I remembered the Good Shepherd and His promise to me,
And I no longer felt afraid.

As I walked out into my garden,
And beheld the lovely flowers,
I thought of the beauty of the Lord,
And said "That can be ours".

Then I saw the mighty oak trees,
As they stood so tall and strong,
And thought of Jesus upon the cross,
And my heart burst forth in song.

Lord, when I consider all You've done
And that You did it just for me,
My heart is filled with love for You,
And I fall down to my knees.
