WHEN JESUS
WALKED AMONG US
When Jesus
walked among us,
He revealed the
heart of God…
His love flowed
like a river,
As upon the
earth He trod.

He was gentle,
He was humble –
His quest was
not for fame;
To reveal God's
love and mercy
Was the reason
that He came.

He reached out
to the weary,
And by His love
they were
renewed.
He cheered the brokenhearted,
And pardoned the
accused.

As He travelled
on His journey,
He healed the
lame and blind.
He refreshed the
tired and
thirsty,
And calmed the
troubled mind.

He fed the weak
and hungry,
And ministered
God's love.
He reached out
to the sinners,
Like His Father
up above.

Then He made
that final
sacrifice…
He died for you
and me.
His blood flowed
like a river
–
It was shed to
set us free.

But then came
the final
victory,
For on the third
day He arose –
He broke the
power of sin and
death,
And defeated all
our foes.

My Jesus came to
set me free,
He died that I
might live.
So forever I
will sing His
praise,
And to Him my
life I'll give.
