When Storms Are Raging All Around

Why is it that, whenever the storms of life are raging all around us, we forget the one person who can help us? I know I, personally, often forget that all I have to do is cry out to the Lord for help and He will be there to help me and to calm the storms. So, whenever life seems to be getting the best of you, please remember that there is someone who has promised to always be there to help you.

WHEN STORMS ARE RAGING ALL AROUND

When storms are raging all around,
And I don't know what to do,
Why do I find it so hard, my Lord,
To reach out my hands to You.

I know You're always there for me,
Because in Your Word You told me so,
But, when my problems seem too hard to bear,
You're the last place I think to go.

When my friends all seem to desert me
In my greatest times of fear and doubt,
Please help me to remember, Lord,
That You will never shut me out.

I know my heart has been hardened
By all the trials I've been through,
So, please, will you help me to realise
That they should be bringing me closer to You.

Please fill my heart with so much love
That my wounds will all be healed,
For how can I reach out to others, Lord
If my scars keep Your love concealed.

So, Lord, will You please forgive me
For ever doubting Your love,
And help me to keep my eyes fixed on You
Until I join You up above.
