Even though I go through times of doubt and fear, God's promise to us that He will always be beside me keeps me from giving in and letting the enemy take control.  The Lord is my Shepherd, and in His Word it says that He will lead me in the way that I should go, and He will keep me safe.  The Lord cannot lie, so I must believe this is true, or my whole faith in Him counts for nothing.  His Word is what I rely on to guide me in every step I take each day.  So, put your trust in the Lord, because He is our Shepherd, and He WILL lead us and be beside us each and every day.

WHEREVER MY SHEPHERD LEADS ME

Wherever my Shepherd leads me
I know that I will follow,
Even though the road is winding, narrow and long.
For I know that He will guide me,
And keep me from all harm
Within His arms, which are so safe and strong.

He'll lead me to still waters,
In a pasture soft and green,
Where I can quench my parched and thirsty soul.
And no matter who comes against me,
I have no need to fear,
For He has promised me that He is in control.

On the cross His blood was shed,
That blessed day at Calvary,
To wash me clean and make me white as snow.
Then, when He rose up from the grave,
He defeated sin and death,
And words cannot express the debt I owe.

For He died to set me free
From pain, and fear, and strife,
And said He'd come again to claim His bride.
So I watch and wait each day,
As I strive to do His will,
And then forevermore with Him I will abide.
