YOU ARE MY EVERYTHING

My Lord, I find it hard to say
Just what You mean to me…
But when I think of all You've done,
I just have to bow my knee.

I think about the way things were
Before you came into my life –
For all I knew were hate and fear,
Suffering, pain and strife.

Love was something I dreamed about
As I cried myself to sleep,
But all I got were broken dreams…
More wounds so raw and deep.

Then You came into my life
And washed away my pain.
Your love refreshed my tired heart
Like a gentle summer rain.

You showed me what love really meant,
And wiped away my tears.
You filled my heart with joy and peace
As You cast out all my fears.

With love You healed my broken heart,
And You calmed my troubled mind –
And all my open wounds were healed
As I left my past behind.

My Lord, You mean so much to me,
You are my Lord, my King –
To me You mean much more than life…
You are my everything.
