When the storms of life are raging all around me, and I don't know which way to turn, it is such a comfort to know that I can always rely on my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, to be my strength when I am at my weakest.  He is always there, of that I have no doubt, even though there are times when I forget and try to do things in my own strength instead of leaning on Him.  So, please put your trust in Him, because He will never fail you.

You Are The Strength Of My Life

You are the strength of my life, my Lord,
My fortress and my shield;
And as I bow my head in prayer
My whole life to You I yield.

You are the strong and mighty tower
To which I run in time of need,
And you are the blessed bread of life
On which, in times of hunger, I feed.

You are the King of kings, the Lord of lords,
The soft and gentle Prince of peace;
And you are my strong deliverer,
For from guilt and shame you've brought release.

You're the Saviour of my soul,
My Shepherd and my Guide,
And as I go into the world each day
I know you are always by my side.

When You chose to shed Your precious blood
Upon the Cross at Calvary,
You washed me whiter than the snow,
And from my sins You set me free.

Lord Jesus, You sent Your Spirit,
To comfort me and be my friend –
So now I have no doubt or fear
For I know on You I can depend.
